The Parochial Church Council of St Andrew’s Church

Aims and purposes

The PCC of St Andrew’s Church, Ogbourne St Andrew, has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent in the promotion of the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

The PCC is committed to sustaining the presence of our Church in this community and promoting its roles and extending its influence. The PCC is also responsible for the maintenance of St Andrew’s Church and graveyard and the Rockley Chapel graveyard.

We are a small community, and the Church is one of two amenities within the parish boundaries, alongside the community owned public house, The Silks on the Downs.

We have a duty to ensure that we are open and welcoming to all, that parishioners know they have a sacred place of worship to come to when needed, on a regular or occasional basis. We provide a means for them to meet and forge links with each other, share their lives, consider and grow their faith.

The church is a community asset open to everyone, of all faiths and none.
