The presentation by author Sally Coulthard in March 2025 was enjoyed by 60 people and brought in over £1,000, partly due to sales of her latest book, kindly donated by Sally herself.
The talk by retired test pilot Mike Stokes in May’25 was attended by 30 entertained people and raised over £400 towards church running costs.
The ‘Art in the Afternoon’ exhibition held on the 4/5th September ’25 and the associated talk by Jane Fox on the 2nd September raised over £1,100.
The sale of Christmas Decorations (kindly donated by Suzie Wray) in December raised £312.
Due to major reorganisation works the church has been closed between October 2025 and May 2026. However the church reopened in June 2026 and for each weekend in July it was the venue for a highly successful exhibition by four local artists under the banner of the Marlborough Open Studios. The artists generously gave us a donation amounting to £1,140 and a further £250 was denoted by visitors for refreshments provided.
On the 4th September 2026 an Antiques Valuation Day was held in neighbouring Ogbourne Maizey which raised £723 for Church funds in spite of the indifferent weather. The accompanying display of magnificent classic cars attracted many admiring comments. Our thanks go in particular to the three guest experts from Bonhams and to all those who helped with the organisation of the event.
